The only really hard bit on the front suspenstion
was getting the bushes into the rocker arms. I had
to file off most of the zinc coating and cover them
in grease. Then proceed to hitting bloody hard with
Tiger Tool No. 1 (large mallet).

This shows everything loosely assembled.

Another view of the hub.

In order to get the Sierra rear beam to fit in a
Cat you need to "cut a small section of metal out"
says the manual. Here's dad removing said metal with
Tiger Tool No. 2 (grinder).

We deceided that the rear axle should be put onto
the car as one whole unit. We suspended the rear of
car from the beams in the roof of the garage and
lifted the axle into place. Clamps were used to hold
the diff. in position until the holes could be drilled
and bolts inserted.

The rear shocks needed a lot of packing with penny
washers in order to stop them moving about.
|
 |
Once all the axles were assembled you MUST put the
car onto it's wheels and roll it out of the garage.
The put the seat in loosly and sit in the car. Then
proceed to make "brum brum" noices until neighbours
question your insanity :o)

View from behind showing fuel tank installation.
I've used Tiger's straps but have put an extra length
of box section accross the rear of the tank to attach
the straps to.
