Installation

Starting out
First thing todo is to work out where to put the EDIS module, coil and MegaJolt unit. I've chosen to have the coil and EDIS module on the ali plate just infront of the scuttle. The MegaJolt unit will go under the dash in the cockpit area.
Toothed wheel 1
You need to decide on what you're going to do here. There are many options including using one from a CVH engined Seirra. I've gone for a 140mm Omex toothed wheel. This itself prevents another problem; how to mount it.
Toothed wheel 2
Here's a couple of pics of the front pulley to show you how little room there is in the front of my car. I needed an adapter to allow me to fit the Omex wheel onto the front of my pulley.
Toothed wheel 3
I had this adapter turned up on a lathe by a friend of a friend. It's a nice tight fit and will hold the wheel onto the front of the crank.
Sensor bracket
I decided to make the bracket from 3mm think steel bar as it's thick enought not to wobble and not so thick that I can't beat it with a big hammer into the position I need it. I made a template up using plywood initially and once happy went over to the steel. This took the best part of a day to to(!) but works well and doesn't wobble.
Testing 1
I've kept the current dizzy setup in place for testing as it allows me to check it all works without having to get the timing just right. It sparks ok but at the moment the Megajolt's not giving an RPM output to the runtime display.
Bolting in
Once you're happy with your chosen locations you need to bolt it all in. My engine bay is quite cramped so there's little room to fit it all. Also not here that the TPS wires are not attached yet. (Ignore the blue leads, they were attached this distributor which is now surplus to requirements!)
Throttle Position Sensor
I've chosen to use a TPS from a Mondeo as it bolts straight onto the Weber carbs with a little bracketry which is detailed below.
Installing the TPS 1
Firstly you need to make up a bracket to hold the TPS in place. I've chosen 3mm thick, 90 angled steel as it's nice and strong so won't wobble. Not sure what happened with the paint, I think the spray nozzle got stuck and blobbed it.
Installing the TPS 2
You'll also need something to mount onto the throttle spindal on the carbs to turn the TPS. I got a friend with a lathe to turn this up for me. The thread on the spindal is standard M7. The other thing you'll need is something to lock it against when you screw it on as you must not put any load through the carb spindal or you will twist it!
Installing the TPS 3
Here's the spindal and brackets in place. The threads on the bracket mounting are M5. Do remember to thread lock everything as there's a fair bit of vibration on the engine and we don't want it coming loose. You'll also have to put 3 washers under the mounting hole nearest the spindal as it's slightly lower than the other. The TPS is spring loaded internally so I mounted with a little pressure on this to ensure I get a good reading at idle.
Installing the TPS 4
And here it is in place. Works great and in nice and secure on it's mount. One thing to note is the wiring for the Ford Mondeo TPS; it's different to Webers! The diagram here is correct and should help others not make the mistake I did.
Shift Light
This is a very simple thing to wire in. I chose a 10mm ultra bright LED from RS as it's perfect for car use being both very bright and directional so only you can see it when lit. Megajolt will ground the shift light pin when the pre-set rpm is met, so you simple wire the positive pin of the LED to +12v (with the correct resistor inbetween to lower the voltage) and the negative terminal to the output of the Megajolt.
