The Build - G.R.P.

These are the slots I've cut for the vents to demist the windscreen. I used a Dremel to cut them and wet'n'dry to make them nice and smooth.
Fitting the rear GRP was quite a job. I'd cut the 2 slots in the back (not on the marks Tiger had made) and this photo shows the ones that need to be made on the top. I started by measuring everything but because the GRP was totally un-semetrical, gave up on that and did most of it by eye.
Another photo showing the GRP in place on the top.
I've used the Tiger supplied front grill sprayed with chrome paint which actually made it look ok. I'm currently looking for some honeycombe mesh to replace it. (All those marks are flies, the side effect of having a bright yellow car!)
This is the slot I've cut for the air-filters to poke out of. All the edges on my GRP have be firstly sanded with a course orbital sander to get the right shape. Then a finer grade to smooth it over. Then finally wet and dry to give a really nice smooth SVA friendly edge.
I've used the Tiger supplied clips which are attached with pop rivets. Behind them are small peices of ali-sheet to spread the load of the rivets on the GRP. This photo also shows the *perfect* of the GRP. That gap is aparantly to let hot air out from the engine bay.
Again the standard Tiger items on the front. I've used a split nut cover to cover over the bolt holding the spring to the body.
