The Build - Bits'n'Bobs

The windscreen uprights were very hard to do! The original finish was a rather dull ali colour and with sharp edges. Once I'd bent them into shape I filed each edge round, then used progressively finer grades of wet'n'dry to get the smooth finish. I then used a polishing wheel on the end of a drill and "Autosol" metal polish to do the final shine.
The wires under the headlamps are inside some flexi-pipe used in fish-tanks! Looks nice and SVA friendly. (Thanks for the tip Royston :o)
The cycle wings are secured with two bolts, one in each stay. Between each stay and the wing is a thick bit of foam to cushion them. All the edges on the stays were smoothed over with a grinder and then hamerited. M8 bolts and nylocs secure them to the lugs on the shortened legs. The rear stay needed a little twising to get it to be flush with the wing.
